CORTONA DOC SANGIOVESE
MARIUS was born with the objective to have a red wine easy to drink, parfumed, and with a good tasty to consent easy matching to more and more dishes.
Denomination: Sangiovese D.O.C. CORTONA
Grape variety: Sangiovese 90% – Merlot 10%
Vineyard: Pietraia di Cortona (about 290 mt above sea level)
Grape harvest: the beginning of may for Merlot, at the end of september for Sangiovese.
Vinification: traditional and délestage, maceration with parings for 8-10 days
Refinement on cellar: Sangiovese on concrete tanks and Merlot on barriques of 225 lt.
Refinement on bottle: at least 4 months
Colour: intense ruby red tend to purplish
Tasting notes: on the nose floral and fruity that remembers you violet and blackberry, in the mouth it’s harmonic, soft and with a big balance.
Unit of alcohol: 12.5-13.5% vol
Serving temperature: 18°C.
